About this project

Aim of this project

The aim of this project is to visualise the age-stratified 7-day case incidence in all German districts at the highest possible resolution and over the course of the SARS-CoV2 pandemic as a heat map.

This data can help interested parties and decision makers to get a better overview of the infection in the individual districts. All data are obtained weekly by the RKI via the SurvStat@RKI 2.0 protal and analysed/visualised using RStudio version 1.2.1335. For reasons of transparency the code be published as an open source file on GitHub in the near future.

There is no conflict of interest for all individuals involved in the project. All costs are covered by private funds. Furthermore, this project does not pursue any political agenda and has the sole purpose of making the official data sets available in a simple visualised form.
